 SMART indicator – Definitions

How to describe in an operational, clear and precise manner, the objectives and the results of a project in terms of quantity and quality for a target group, with indication of time and place. The indicators are formulated so as to be objectively verifiable in order to facilitate the monitoring and evaluation stages of a project.

The relevance of the indicators of a project is as fundamental as that of the objectives. They must be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Temporal.

Sources of verification
