Residents of ger districts are often at risk of a variety of infectious and non-communicable diseases, including diarrhea, hepatitis A, hand, foot and mouth diseases, and dysentery, due to the supply in water and sanitation. Thus, the construction of sanitation facilities and the provision of equipment related to water safety must be accompanied by awareness-raising and training activities for the implementation of good hygiene practices.
