NGO presentation :
The African Network for the Prevention and Protection against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) is a pan-African children’s rights organization founded in 1986. It has an observer status with the African Union and a similar status with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
With over 30 years’ experience in children’s rights issues, the focus is on the prevention of the worst forms of child labor and the rehabilitation of children subjected to them. Orphans make up over 40% of the enrolment in many elementary schools and are the most vulnerable to exploitation and abuse.
