How to help us ?
Volunteer and offer your expertise
Volunteering is a vital resource for PADEM, and we are always pleased to welcome volunteers. Whatever your desire, your availability and your areas of expertise, visit our ‘ Our offers ’ page to discover the missions that could suit you. It could involve manning a stand, administrative, accounting, legal, IT or digital communication tasks, etc.
Make a single or regular donation
Financial donations
Financial donations enable PADEM to co-finance projects and provide additional support to vulnerable families and their children. Visit our ‘ Make a donation ’ page to find out how to make a single or regular donation.
Whether you choose to make a donation by bank transfer, secure payment by credit card or PayPal, we will send you a tax receipt. Your donation is tax deductible as follows:
- Do you live in Luxembourg? To be tax-deductible, the total donation must be equal to or greater than €120 per year. Under no circumstances may the annual deduction exceed 20% of total taxable income or €1,000,000.
- Do you live in France? Donations entitle you to a tax reduction of 66% of the amount paid, subject to a ceiling of 20% of taxable income.
- Do you live in Belgium? You are entitled to a tax reduction of 45% of the amount of your donation if it amounts to at least €40 per calendar year and per organisation.
Material donations
Material donations can be useful for our beneficiaries or for our partners working in the field. The most useful items to collect for our projects are :
- school supplies: exercise books, pens, books, crayons, etc.
- toys for all ages: learning games, board games, arts and crafts, soft toys, dolls, etc.
- Medical equipment: wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks, walking frames, sun creams for children and albinos, etc.
- Hygiene equipment: sanitary towels for young girls, toilet paper, mosquito repellents, soap, hydro-alcoholic gels, etc.
If you would like to make a donation of equipment to PADEM, please contact us.
Donations with your company in Luxembourg
Since 2017, PADEM has set up Payroll Giving with a consortium of Luxembourg NGOs. This system allows employee volunteers to donate the euro cents of their salary to a humanitarian project close to their hearts.
Contact your company for more information, or visit our Payroll Giving website: https: //payroll-giving.lu/
Leave a bequest or take out a life insurance policy
PADEM is authorised to be the beneficiary of bequests or life insurance policies. This can be done very simply and in accordance with your wishes. If you are interested in setting up such a donation, the PADEM team is at your disposal to discuss the details. Contact us for more information.
A bequest is a provision in a will by which you choose to pass on all or part of your assets to one or more designated persons or organisations on your death. It is possible to bequeath immovable property (a flat, a house, land, business premises, etc.) or movable property (furniture, jewellery, works of art, a sum of money, a stock market portfolio, etc.).
Life insurance is a savings contract signed between a policyholder and an insurer. You entrust your money to the insurer so that it can grow for a fixed period or for the rest of your life. The beneficiary of a life insurance policy is the person to whom the capital or annuity will be paid in the event of the policyholder’s death before the end of the policy. If you wish to list the PADEM association as your beneficiary, you can do so when you open the policy, or by sending a letter to your insurer to change your beneficiaries.
Create a fundraising campaign
Fundraising events
We offer people who are interested the chance to set up fund-raising events among their friends and family. Whether it’s spontaneous or for a special event (christening, wedding, death, etc.), PADEM can help you organise the collection.
There are several ways to raise funds:
- Via social networks (Instagram charity fundraiser)
- Via online fundraising (Leetchi)
- Via a common pot
- By sharing our bank details
- By displaying our Payconiq QR code in Luxembourg
- Via collection points (donation boxes) that PADEM can provide.
- By organising a cake or other sale, with the profits going to PADEM.
Donation boxes
In your shop or favourite retailer, place a donation box on the counter to collect customers’ loose change. Simple, practical and requiring very little of your time, this system allows you to collect substantial sums in just a few weeks for PADEM’s projects.
Ask PADEM for your donation box: contact us
