Improving the living conditions of workers in Sri Lanka plantations
Activities
- Construction of 131 individual houses in the form of two villages, including a house for people with disabilities
- Fight against child labor
- Professional training of more than 1500 young people
- Non-formal education of more than 500 children
- Establishment of 11 cooperatives
- Rehabilitation of 10 community centers
- Access programs to water, electricity, construction of 500 latrines
- Construction of rest rooms
- Renovation of infrastructure: water, latrines, electricity, community centers, …
- Establishment of a micro-credit fund for more than 850 people
- Re-roofing of collective dwellings “Laimas”
