Our Misison
Since 2002, all activities carried out by PADEM, through fair and adapted partnerships, aim to sustainably achieve the fundamental rights of children and their families, respecting their humanity.
PADEM operates across four continents (Latin America, Europe, Asia, Africa) in partnership with local civil society actors.
Promoting local partnerships
All of PADEM’s activities are based on a fair and coherent partnership with local actorswho are deeply rooted in the field and in close proximity to the targeted populations. The capacity building and knowledge sharing among all parties enable the continous improvement of activities. With this approach, PADEM offers long-term collaboration with its partners and establishes new partnerships every year. Furthermore, the presence of local partners on the ground allows communities to take ownership of the projects and ensures the respect of their humanity.
Professionalism
Since its creation, PADEM has continually professionalized its operations. To ensure financial transparency, PADEM’s accounts have been subject to an annual “full audit” since 2007. Today, the team is composed of 4 employees at headquarters coordinating the smooth execution of projects, as well as an international network of consultants who are experts in their respective fields. This structure allows over 85% of the collected funds to directly benefit the projects. In this way, PADEM maintains long-term, trusting relationships with its donors and funding partners.
Flexibility
PADEM has chosen a holistic approach for all its projects. By working across multiple areas of intervention, PADEM ensures comprehensive care for the well-being of children and their families. Support of children also involves their parents, which is why PADEM develops activities specifically for adults. This method of intervention, combined with innovative projects, provides PADEM with the flexibility to respond appropriately and sustainably to the needs of the targeted populations.
