The Micro projects of Padem
3 micro-projects are currently in progress: Cameroon and India Micro Projects are a new way of working for Padem. Usually the projects we support require a relatively large budget. They are accompanied by procedures that may seem a bit heavy and administrative (narrative and financial tracking, field visits, operational planning) but allow full transparency, both between partners and Padem and also between Padem and donors.
In the case of smaller budgets, less than € 10 000, we find ourselves faced with a dilemma : the institutional donors (Common European Commission, Foundations of companies, Local Authorities) cannot support this type of project because they are considered too “small” and are outside the usual procedures. However the need is there for small projects!
This is why Padem decided to launch a new mode of financing, especially for “small projects”, those whose budget does not exceed € 10,000. We are looking for private donors such as you, the current reader, who might be interested and wanting to change something. We do not ask much because you should know that living standards in developing countries are relatively low.
Donating €60 for a micro-credit can change the life of an entire family. Finally, as Padem is an NGO accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs it will allow you to deduct your donation from your taxes. The deductible amounts can be between 75% and 100% of your donation. For example, a donation of € 100 will cost you in reality € 25 or … 0 €.
